I lived in the same building where your mother lived in Waikiki. Whenever I saw her around the property or at meetings, she was always so upbeat, happy and friendly. I always enjoyed seeing her. Her energy always lifted my spirits. She said working at UH was what kept her young. She loved it so much. I am sad that I won’t be seeing her anymore - but will always remember her as a ray of sunshine. Thank you so much for this beautiful memorial for your mom. Her beautiful spirit lives on with you her son.

I met Eloise not as a student but as a worker at UHM. She was so sweet! I saw her give a student a graduation gift and he was so touched. She was an amazing woman, we found out that we had a connection from her work as a sales rep. Rest in peace dear Eloise but keep dancing!

Thank you for creating and sharing this. It was nice browsing through all of the photos and reading about her life. I enjoyed talking with her as she always had this happiness in her voice. She was a (pink) firecracker that I wish I would have known for longer.

Such a bright light to all of UH students! I remember always walking into the dining hall and immediately perking up seeing her there. Just a ray of sunshine with her colored hair and smile. She is missed!

Eloise was a special extraordinary individual. She had so much energy, loved to talk story, so encouraging to me and many others. She was always smiling and I grew to love her very much. We miss her!! 🥰

Aunty was a ray of sunshine every day I would see her at UH. She was always so welcoming and treated my friends and I if we were her own. There was never a day where she wouldn’t ask us how we were doing or how classes were going. Your mom was such an amazing person. She made my college experience memorable. Rest in love aunty.

Auntie always had a beautiful spirit. We met her a few times when we went to go visit UH. she was always so friendly with a big smile. We even ran it to her at Sams Club and she was pushing her own grocery cart. her beautiful spirit will be remembered.

Thank you for sharing this website with us! Your mom was such a shining light at UH. I lived in the dorms as a freshman, and seeing her first thing in the morning during breakfast hours really comforted me. She was always so lively and inviting, and her kindness and encouragement gave me strength as I was adjusting to a new environment. It left such an impression on my heart, and I will carry it forever. Heaven has gained an amazing angel. I’m grateful to even have crossed paths with her for a short time. Condolences to you and your loved ones.

I just finished your “Journey with Eloise” 🥰 This website is such a beautiful way to remember and honor your Mother. It’s nice having the pictures of her younger self, so it will be easier to recognize her in the New World!
But the smile never changed. 😊
I wish I could have known her better. I first met her when you were serving the Kaneohe South Congregation. I remember her as always smiling and vibrant! It was obvious that she was so proud of her son. When you gave the Memorial talk in Kalihi a few years ago, I was amazed that she drove all the way there by herself! Yes, she loved you like no other. It was very clear from the sentiments expressed by those who knew her well that in her final years she was an extraordinary, loving and faithful servant of Jehovah.
I look forward to seeing her soon in the new world! Job 14:15

Hello! I didn’t know your mother all that well but I was one of the many students she loved on while she was at university of Hawaii. She always made me and my friends feel welcome and cared for. She was a bright spot of hope in many students dark and stressful moments. May she rest well!!! She is so loved! God bless!!

Wow Gary! I wish I could have known your Mom, she would have been a fun friend. I miss you too brother, you are also witty and fun. We haven’t been able to spend much time together for years and the last time, as I remember it, was so hard. Your talk for Ron’s memorial was just wonderful. How you held it together was just pure Jehovah’s spirit. I remember that you were in pain, as we all were, but you had a killer headache to match your heart ache 🥹. Thank you for always being there for the O’Connor ohana and making us proud as a CO. I always looked forward to your talks and fun conversations! Maybe I will get a chance to meet your Mom, I sure hope so 😁. 💐🌹🪻🌷🌺🌸🌼🌷💐 here are some 🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷flowers for Mom.

I Ditto my Sister Danielle from New Zealands text: "Wow, that was awesome. You know the saying "Let Jehovah write your story", I appreciated how Sister Eloise allowed Jehovah to finish writing her story that had a very happy ending & when she awakens from her rest Jehovah will continue writing her life story as she lives happily ever after. Thanks to you Gary for sharing this amazing life story, experiences of your beloved mom & for sticking to Jehovah from 16 yrs old so your mom was able to come into the truth in her 90's. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! 👏👏👏"

We pray that our loving father brings her back to life in the new world soon to come.

Dear Gary, I always thought your mom was an amazing lady, but after reading her story, seeing all the picture and videos. I realized I only knew a small fraction of the special lady she was. I do know one thing, of all the husbands and boyfriends she had, YOU were the love of her life. Everytime she talked about you, her eyes would lite up and her smile would get even bigger. She would always wait for your visit but she knew you were busy serving Jehovah and that was okay. Even though she was always smiling, loving, kind and encouraging, I look forward to the day when I can get to know the whole person behind this story. She was truly loved by all she touched and even more so by Jehovah. I can't wait till she and my parents wake up to a time that they will feel no more pain. And I'm sure you can't wait to spend time with her again. This was a beautiful way of remembering her. Thank you for sharing. May Jehovah comfort you in this time of sorrow. Aloha,

Mahalo for sharing Eloise's life story with us. I've only known her during her time at UH where she would greet us everytime we would eat at Gateway Cafe, but what a wonderful life she led. Even until the very end, she always had a big smile on her face that would uplift your spirits just being in her presence. My sincere condolences to you. This tribute website will give all those who knew her more comfort and peace. Take care

It was really wonderful to see Eloise come into the truth and to be able to be out in the ministry with her. I remember meeting her in a tap dance class almost 20 years ago. She was in her pink and glitter and had the most positive happy energy. So to see her coming to the meetings years later and dedicate her life to Jehovah was a thrill. She loved people. She loved Gary and she loved Jehovah!
